Hyundai i20 have an upright tailgate which means more boot space for luggage too. Interiors are really of the top-notch with really high quality plastics used in them. Hyundai i20 car was first showcased in the Paris Motor Show 2008 and in India it was launched at the end of December 2008 meeting all existing emission norms including the Euro-V. The newly launched Hyundai i20 car is equipped with the latest technology 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine that pumps out a maximum power of 80 ps @ 5200 rpms. Hyundai i20 will come in two variants - petrol and diesel. The diesel variant of the hatchback will be powered by a 1.4-litre engine, producing a maximum power of about 90 bhp.

 

Hyundai i20 is already sold in European markets, Hyundai had begun exports from India, where it is exclusively made. Hyundai i20 premium petrol hatchback has been well received in India in the barely couple of months since its launch in 2008 December. And now Hyundai has made it clear that it would launch a diesel Hyundai i20 in India. Hyundai i20 is the latest launch of Hyundai and an upgraded version of the i10. It is basically a five seater, five door hatchback car.

 

Interior space is reasonable for a car of this size. At six foot three I couldn't get as far away from the major controls as I would have liked, and I found the rear cramped too, but the i20 will happily carry four adults of more reasonable height. Interiors will be top notch with high-quality plastics and it will be comfortable with a more flexible seating layout similar to i10.

 

Designed at Hyundai's European Design Centre in Russelsheim, Germany, the chic new five-door i20 rides on a longer wheelbase than its predecessor model, the Getz, giving the i20 an athletic stance and spacious interior architecture. Featuring Hyundai's distinctive design motifs – a bold chrome-topped grille flanked by piercing teardrop headlamps at the front and striking stacked rear light clusters – the i20's modern lines are further strengthened by neat detailing, including colour-co-ordinated bumpers, sills and wing mirror.

Designed with precision and an elegant layout, the interior of the car boats excellent drive comfort. The well-packaged interiors of the car include AC/heating, 60/40 split folding rear seats, tilt and telescopic steering, 2 DIN CD along with an MP3 music system, dual tone beige interiors, refrigerated glove box, a multi-information display, and tachometer as standard equipment.
